Character

Studies show that character is communicated to others in three ways.

People with positive character or attitudes are more
optimistic about life.
They encourage and give hope hence draw people to them.

Light defines darkness but darkness cannot define light.
If you are optimistic about life ,life cannot dictate to you.

Relationship,Character and Ethics

The glory of the latter is going to be greater than the former.
Relationships are investments.
Our relationship influences our character.
We need to associate with people with character.
Our character impacts our relationships.
Your character is the combination of your personal qualities that makes you unique.
Your true character is seen in how you conduct yourself when no one is watching...

Dimensions of Faith

Faith must always pass the test of discouragement.Miracles do not occur in abundance. You face your greatest opposition when you are closest to your miracle.

Today I choose....

Love
No occasion justifies hatred;
No injustice warrants bitterness.I choose love.
Today I will love God and what God loves.

Joy
I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance.
I will refuse the temptation to be cynical....the tool of the lazy thinker.
I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings,created by God.
I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than opportunity to see God.

Peace
I will live forgiven.I will forgive so that i may live.

Patience
I will overlook the inconveniences of the world.
Instead of cursing the one who takes my place,I will invite him to do so.
Rather than complain that the wait is too long,I will thank God for a moment to pray.
Instead of clinching my fist at new assignments,I will face them with joy and courage.

Kindness
I will be kind to the poor,for they are alone.
Kind to the rich for they are afraid.
And kind to the unkind,for such is how God has treated me.

Faithfulness
Today i will keep my promises.
My debtors will not regret their trust.
My asscociates will not question my word.
My wife will not question my love.
And my children will never fear that i will not come home.

Gentleness
Nothing is won by force.
I choose to be gentle.
If i raise my voice may it be only in praise.
If i clench my fist ,may it be only in prayer.
If i make a demand, may it be only of myself.

Self-Control
I am a spiritual being...
After this body is dead,my spirit will soar.
I refuse let what will rot rule the eternal
I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy
I will be impassioned only by my faith
I will be influenced only by God.
I will be taught only by Christ
I choose self-control

Love,Joy Peace,Patience,Kindness,Goodness,Faithfulness,Gentleness and Self-Control. To these I commit my day.If i succeed ,i will give thanks. If i fail,i will ask for grace. And then when this day is done,I will put my head on my pillow and rest

Dear Dairy Series

The next couple of posts are excepts from the dairy i kept back in high school.Its full of my thoughts,songs,quotes,notes from books i read and words of wisdom. Its quite inspirational. I look back and i find some of the thoughts i put down quite encouraging now. i hope it encourages you too..

Joseph had a dream.....

what i like is that Joseph had to be humbled by going through sooo many things and eventually he was lifted up. What is most fascinating is that he held on to God's dream for his life and hoped against hope and eventually everything came true. he didn't doubt , he just trusted. The tables turned around and those who envied him and persecuted him were at his feet begging and yet he was humble enough to show mercy....now that's what i call a pearl heart...and i want one...wish you do tooo
